DETAILED FORMAL EDUCATION

 

    BASIC EDUCATION LEVEL I (LITERACY AND NUMERACY)

        People whose needs are learning basic skills in literacy, reading, writing and numeracy are the target groups of this course. Students can attend lessons in the afternoons in small groups. There are three groups, each one with personal tuition.

 

    BASIC EDUCATION LEVEL II   

   This is a consolidation course which comes before Secondary Education for Adults. The curriculum includes subjects such as Mathematics, Spanish, Catalan, Enviroment and Social Studies Afternoon lessons. There is only one group.  

 

    SECONDARY EDUCATION    

  

People over 18 interested in getting the Certificate in Secondary Education can attend lessons in the morning or in the evening. Students can choose to attend all the subjects of their choice depending on their availability. These courses last four months for each grade. There are four different grades.

     The first grade  takes place only in the evening (from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.).   

     Second grade takes place in the morning or in the evening

      There are three groups for 3rd and 4th grades in the morning (from 8:30 a.m to  2:20 p.m.) and one in the evening (from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.).

    The schedules are designed to make it easier for the students to attend all the subjects included in the curriculum. Subjects studied during the first term from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. change to 8 pm to 10 p.m. during the second term.    

    

    PREPARATION FOR THE EXAMINATION TO HIGHER  GRADE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION    

    

Group 3 (mechanics,, electronics, building, etc.),

Group 4 (environmental studies, dietetics, dental-care,  laboratory assistant )

Group 5 ( infant education,  sociocultural monitor, sports monitor, assistant )

 Evening (from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.)

    CATALAN COURSES

       Preparation for the “Conselleria d'Educació i Cultura” tests. Levels A,  B and C. Morning (levels A and B) and afternoon and evening (all  levels).

 

    ENGLISH COURSES

      Introduction to the English language. Four levels (Beginner, Elementary, Pre-intermediate and Intermediate) Afternoon and evening.

 

    SPANISH FOR FOREIGNERS

              First level is focused to all those people who don’t  have any skills in Spanish (Beginners) Second level allows students to gain fluency in speaking, reading, listening and writing skills (Elementary) Lessons take place in the afternoon.
