(En Català: )
The invertebrate fauna reflects the peculiarities of a human activity maintained
over centuries.
The terracing of the territory and the cultivation of olive
trees has generated ideal conditions for the proliferation of a multitude of
beetles, butteflies, ants, snails, arachnids and isopodes
With respect to the vertebrates, mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles can be
found. At present there are numerous goats and therefore it is not surprising that the
people from the Barranc hunt them off to reduce their damage to the olive trees
and to enjoy the exquisite kid meat.
Thrush hunting with nets and guns is also a traditional pastime that is losing
fans due to the progressive reduction in captures.
