We can base at medition of the distance that the light, c go over at certain time. Like at origin we can base at light velocity like is:
c: 299.792.458 Km/s
The time that light delay go over at distance will be determinated by time term used together with light word. By exemple, we are speaking of years-light, months-light, days-light or seconds-lights and the others. Next chart it's indicated distances scale next to equivalent at metrical system.

8.33 min./light
1 km.: 3.34 msec./light
1 m.: 3.34 nsec./light
With this equivalences & with last chart; we can permit to calculate at new system of medition based with the light. Planetary distances at our Solar Sytem will be next chart:
| Mercury | Venus | Earth | Mars |
| 3.21 min./light | 6.02 min./light | 8.33 min./light | 12.66 min./light |
| Jupiter | Saturn | Uranus | Neptune | Pluto |
| 43.25 min./light | 1.32 hours/light | 2.68 hours/light | 4.16 hours/light | 5.46 hours/light |
The closest star to our Sun is a Centauri, at the constellation of Centaurus. It is 4.3 years-light, by the way, light from this star is late 4 years & 4 months aproximality to arrive at our Sun or our Earth. Like anecdote I can say that almost six hours is late to arrive from planet-asteroid Pluto; farest body of our Solar System at update, to Earth.
It's interesting to used this metrical Solar System, but it has one disadvantage, decimals numbers & to used at actual society. Times to time, ...
