Juno was discovered on November 19th of 1996. I used my refractor telescope of 90 mm. of diameter & 1400 mm. of focal distance. The night was not good. Because Moon was close to Juno asteroid, 40º field, only. & its phase was first quarter in 60%.
Anecdotely, Juno was a magnitude of 8.3 & close its opposition at Cetus constellation, close to a Ceti, only 9º to north of it & the same right ascension.
By way, I used the informatics program of Astronomy, Dance of Planets, where it was indicated the coordinates (right ascension & declination) of Juno. With this instrument & good night I pointed out with my telescope from Inca town (Mallorca isl&, Spain) to a Ceti star to begin.
Field zone is a poor zone of stars, by way, It was not difficult to find at first time, & I saw it with two others stars whose magnitudes was 9.5, & Juno was 8.3, by way a beautiful triangle. Other important characteristic was the Juno's color was between red & orange.
Observations was made prodigality to 18h.50m. Universal Time of November, 19th of 1996. Next you can see this field during that night.
Chart I

They are omitted the decimals points to magnitude of stars. By way, a star with a 100 is corresponded to magnitude 10.0. Discovery date of Juno asteroid was on November, 19th of 1996. Juno is an asteroid who excentricity is 0.2568, it has a period of tranlation about 4.37 years & a inclination with the ecliptic of 12.97º.
By the other h&, with a Java program that I found on the net, & thanks to Osamu Ajiki of AstroArts&y Ron Baalke of JPL, you can see the asteroid orbit, distans in relationship to Sun 6 Earth at Solar System for any date.
