The first question that we would become would be what is the Blue Moon.

In last the decades of century XX the information that has circulated the Blue Moon is the second Full Moon that we can see in a same month or civil calendar. This phenomenon, peculiar, we say it thus, takes place every two years & means, approximately. The popularity of the Blue Moon has come by the chance from which in January & two March of 1999 Blue Moon' s. were & therefore, the mass media, easily were made echo of this news. Peculiarly there was Full Moon no during the month of February of the same year.

Interval average between two Full Moons is of 29,5 days, & the average length of the months in our calendar is of 30,5 days, therefore, can occur the chance to have two Full Moons in a same month, denominating itself the second a the Blue Moon. During a century, doing calculations, obtain 41 months whose phenomenon is repeated or what it is the same, house two years & means we have a precious Blue Moon

On the other hand, there are few studies on the origin of the term & as one became familiar between people, there are several interesting hypotheses of work like the concerning ones medioevo European or in different cultures from Colombian America.

Perhaps the translation to the Castilian or Spanish of the term Blue Moon could be translated like blue Moon or sad Moon.

Possibly the mixture of both terms indicates the identity or definition to us of the Blue Moon.

On the one hand, it represents the second Full Moon in a same month, that can be understood like a melancholy of one night of end of month & with Full Moon, & the blue color of the sky the dusk when orto takes place lunar & " begins " one night we say magician.

The certain thing, is that it is by a cause that is by another one, has its sense, the power to celebrate if the night allows the call it Blue Moon .

With a group of friends of Majorca, usually we celebrate this event of a form cheers & amused, without giving more feeling him of the one than we want to give the event.

Based on next universal times (U.T.) the Blue Moon's until year 2020 will be the following ones:

Therefore, observing the previous charts, we see that Blue Moon' s will take place other two almost followed, January & March of year 2018, peculiarly 19 years after previous year, 1999. This period agrees with the lunar draconic period of the Moon & Sun eclipses that approximately takes place every 19 years and one month.

Therefore, 4 years of each two century we can observe Blue Moons in a same year. The first Blue Moon always takes place in January, & the second Blue predominantly in March. Studying the last 10,000 years this phenomenon one repeats 343 of the 400 times, therefore, a 86% of the times. In the other 37 cases, or 9% the second Blue Moon take place in April, and only 20 cases or 5% in May.

Also he is interesting to stand out that metonic year is called to him to the year that it is not a Blue Moon , so is the case of year 2,000, 2,002, 2,003,.. This phenomenon, or metonic cycle repeats every 19 years, therefore, they are metonics years indicated previously and those that you can see in chart I & II.

Next Blue Moon will happen on December 31st, 2009. Therefore...
