Arturus, name of the main star of Bootes determines the right knee of the mayoral mitológico, stars h, z and u represents the corresponding leg, whereas the weak stars and forms the right leg. The waist marks g and d ,the right shoulder star d and the left armpit to it the g. The head is where star b shines . The ethimology of the name goes back to Arctos-oura, that means the tail of the Bear, and, in effect, the stellar situation of Arturus follows the imaginary line of the tail of the Great Bear or the rudder of the Great Car remote. For that reason in the antiquity, Arturus represented the guardian of the bear or the watchman of the sky, whereas for the Hebrews it was the star of Job since it is mentioned to him in the book of the same name of the Sagradas Scriptures, chapter IX, versicle 9. Homero and Hesiod called the attention to the navigators on the star, attributing to him the signals that foretell storms.

Of the same subject it speaks centuries Virgilio in the Geórgicas later, (book I, verse 68), noticing the farmer who suspends the roturación of the fields when the star is reddish and high to the dawn. Arturus comprises of a rich anecdotal history, for example, in 1635, it in the heat of observed light of the day with a telescope Jean Baptiste Morin, one of the last astrologers of the French cut; this one, hidden in the camera of queen Ana of Austria at the moment gives that it gave to light king Luis XIV the future who had become diligentemente horóscopo, needed to know the moment exact of the birth. Arturus in addition, went the first star to which, uselessly and trusting its relative proximity, light is to 37 years, G. Piazzi tried to apply the methods of measurement of the parallax to determine its range which obtained Peters in 1842. And finally, in the spring of 1933 the light of Arturus, opportunely located by a telescope on a photoelectric cell, activated the automatic switch who ignited of blow all the illumination of the exhibition of Chicago, the U.S.A |

Characteristics
During the nights of April we can already observe Bootes that culminates high in the meridian its main star Arturus, precursor for the old ones of ominous events. Along with Spica de Virgo and Denébola in the constellation of I read comprise of the celestial triangle of the spring for the inhabitants of the North hemisphere. For these it culminates almost during the primaverales nights in the zenith. Its form is extended beginning in 10º until 50º of North, visible latitude for more than six months from March to September in the North hemisphere and from April to June in the South hemisphere.
It limits the north with the constellation of Draco and the Great Bear or Ursa Major, the east with Dogs Venatici and Coma; to the south with Virgo and the west with the constellations of Serpens Caput, Crown Borealis and Hercules.
One is closely together of the galactic North Pole located in a the constellation of Comma, for that reason we observe in Bootes great amount of galaxies but very few shining stars as well as stellar accumulations, cloudy diffuse or planetary.
The constellation of Bootes I located the February 28th, 1982, when it was 14 years old, I suppose that in one night cold of winter
