CHAPEL: The present one is the last of others existing in previous times. It contains several inscriptions, from which we deduce °t was raised gradually: in the chapel of Christ there is the date of August 4th 1662; in the centre of the apse: 1680; on the frontispiece of the choir: 1710; on the sundial: 1668.

On the right as you go in there is a crib. It is kept throughout the year according to an old Franciscan tradition regarded all over the Island, in memory of the celebration of the birth of Christ witch Saint Francis of Assisi made in Greccio (Italy) in 1223. The benches are of inlaid work. They bear the shields of the Order, the Llull shield and the anagram Ave Maria.

On the right side of the Chapel is the way Virgin's chamber. Before reaching °t you pass in front of a wooden carving of Christ of the XVII century, coming from the choir of the Church of Santo Domingo in Palma.

The Dominican church was destroyed in the last century. The small status of the Virgin (42 cms) is made of Santany stone, probably between 1509 and 1517.

MASS service timetable: Saturday 19:30 Sunday 12:00
